Ian Fraser ‘Lemmy’ Kilmister was an English musician, singer and songwriter most notably known for playing bass guitar and fronting legendary rock band Motorhead.
Born in Stoke-on-Trent and growing up in North Wales, Kilmister played with numerous rock bands before founding Motorhead in 1975.
The band’s influence on the rock and metal genres of music have been huge and Kilmister continued to record and tour with the band until his death in late 2015.
