Ronald Balfour “Ronnie” Corbett, born in Edinburgh in 1930, was a beloved comedian, writer, actor and broadcaster.
After completing his compulsory national service with the Royal Air Force, Corbett moved to London in 1952 to start a career in acting. He is most well known as one half of famous sketch-show double act The Two Ronnies, along with his long-time comedy partner Ronnie Barker.
Known for his impeccable comedic timing, Corbett’s brand of comedy brought smiles and laughs to families both young and old for over fifty years.
Ronnie Corbett is survived by his wife, Anne, and his children, Emma and Sophie.
