Later Life
[{"id":1,"type":"text","position":0,"block_data":{"block_content":"I lived for 35 years at my home at 15 Priory Road, Carisbrooke, and after my marriage ended in divorce on 19th February 1996 I became independent, learning to drive and following my hobbies and interests.\n\nI was a home help around Carisbrooke for a while visiting the elderly in their homes doing their housework allowing them to have their own independent lives. I fondly remember Mrs Brown, Mrs Smith and Mr Coward, who thanked me by remembering me in his Will making a small bequest.\n\nI enjoyed having my family and Grandchildren visiting me, my two daughters by then getting married and having children of their own.\n\nI then joined the local Women's Instiitute becoming the the President of Carisbrooke federation and a member on the Island committee.\n\nI showed my artistic talent, whether it was embriodery, cross stitch, painting, or decoupage, loved making my own Birthday and Christmas cards for loved ones and family, and also artistic pieces to hang on the wall. I often had friends from the Womens Institure around my house on an afternoon, teaching them these craft skills.\n\nAfter I became ill with a diagnosis of alzheimer's disease I finally moved to Stanwell Rest Home in Southampton at the start of 2013, living the last years of my life in a loving nursing home surrounded by caring people.\n\nI increasingly because more frail and died around 12:40 am on 19th November 2017 at the age of 80, peacefully asleep with my daughter Susan holding my hand.\n\nI just want to remembered as someone who was a friend and lived her life on the whole happily. I am sure some people will remember me."}}]
